“The belle miller” is a cycle of twenty lieders composed by Franz Schubert in 1823 on Wilhelm Müller’s works, minor Romantic poet who composed a same-named poems cycle.
This masterpiece tells the story of a young mill that leaves his own home to know love.
Its will of love is been disappointed, and his sadness won’t let him to survive. Mill’s desire of death is sang by the creek.
