VILLA CORDELLINA MOLIN, MARZOTTO, LOMBARDI (A)
The villa stands near the center of Montecchio Maggiore. A magnificent holiday residence, which was also a farm: so had it imagined Charles Cordellina which entrusted the project to Giorgio Massari, perhaps with the help of Francis Muttoni in 1735. The frescoes in the central hall were built in 1743 by Giambattista Tiepolo. The villa was converted into a silkworms factory for over sixty years, was restored by Vincenzo Lombardi, owner since 1955. At his death his wife donated to the Province of Vicenza.

A portal to rustication with pediment marks its entrance in the heart of Montecchio Maggiore. Already in the '500 the Lorenzoni here owned a small building with an adjoining country, which in 1814 was replaced by the House, commissioned to Bartolomeo Malacarne. In 1907, the new family bonazzi built two mills and a warehouse, allocate the Villa to a resort. Already owned by the town and used as a library, it is now the exclusive use of the museum.

16: ARRIVAL IN SOSSANO AND VISIT AT VILLA LOSCHI GAZZETTA

VILLA LOSCHI, GAZZETTA (C)
The building, dating from the late fifteenth century, overlookes the village center, the agricultural land in the hills. The plan is in the "L" and the development of two floors plus an attic. The complex also belong to the rustic neighbors. The current appearance is the result of various interventions over the centuries. Of the building original piece of early-Renaissance survives the central lancet window, with the decoration of oak leaves and bees. Since 2008, is the town library.
